I finally got a bit of time and a nice clear sky to work on the collimation of my MK67; results seem much improved.
Ten frames (iso 100, shutter 1/10) stacked in Autostakkert then processed in Registax to do the wavelets. Finally, balanced out the luminosity in GIMP.
Any and all advice/criticism welcomed, I would particularly like to hear any thoughts on making the moon appear a little less flat.

I spotted some first time observed features in my 158mm apochromatic refractor on the Moon last Thursday night too. Rimae Plinius, Rima Menelaus, Dorsum Nicol, Dorsa Lister and Dorsa Smirnov all in Mare Serenetatis. These gems can be found listed in Atlas of the Moon by Antonin Rukl.
I can see them in your image, Martinus
Aubrey.

I found that Registax alignment sometimes gave me very strange results where frame matching would be really poor. Autostakkert appears to give better results.
Bear in mind that I haven't exhaustively tried every setting in Registax neither am I well versed in the nuance of the effects each variation in settings have.

Hi,
You should try putting it through photoshop and brighten it up a bit, to me it looks dark, good shot and good focus,
and this might sound a little funny given its the moon, but to me it always looks better imaged in colour then in straight black and white.

It is imaged in colour, Dave.
Must not have come through very well or it might have been the result of my desaturating a luminosity layer to increase contrast around the lit edge.
