Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.

I went out last night to a site on the road to the Sallygap. The seeing was not the best, the sky was not as clear as it could be, a 30 second exposure showed a nasty orange sky.
As a city boy the imagination can run wild in an unfamiliar environment with every noise being something potentially sinister. With the passage of time I grew a little more calm, not much mind, and stayed about two hours. I can say that it was because of the poor seeing, but there were some nerves too.
With luck the next time both my nerve and the conditions will be better.
