It pays to hold on to old data. On this very cloudy night I processed some M27 subs from last September. LRGB subs L=150 sec X 2, RGB 100 sec X 4. With SXVR-H16 on a Orion 250mm F4.

Excellent image, John. And I do like that 5.7 magnitude star to its north.
I know it is 14 Vulpeculae. It has great spikes in your image.

Aubrey.

10" F4! That's a fast scope! It's a nice image, plenty of depth to it. Is it cropped?

Thanks Seanie. No it is not cropped, it is the full 2048 X 2048 pixel out of the SXVR-H16 camera. The image is not too bad but you can see I did not use flats. Even though I use a Baader coma corrector the stars are not round particularly on one side maybe due to some sensor tilt on that occasion. F4 is fast and the CFZ is very tight. An F4 newt also needs frequent checking of collimation.

By the way, John.

Have you ever tried imaging double or triple stars? Perhaps you might in the future?

They can be quite colourful too. Perhaps Albireo would be a good start.

Aubrey.
