NGC281 - Pacman Nebula in Hubble Palette Narrowband was created by CarlightExpress
I managed to complete my SII and OIII data tonight before the rain moved in, so here it is
The Image consists of
21x600S in SII - Mapped to Red
21x600S in HA - Mapped to Green
21x600S in OIII - Mapped to Blue
25 Darks and Flats
The HA Channel was also used as a Luminosity layer
Equipment Used
Mount: Sky-Watcher EQ8 Pro
Imaging Camera: Atik Cameras 383L+ Mono CCD Cooled to -20C
Imaging Scope: Sky-Watcher Quattro 8-CF 8" F4 Newtonian
Coma Corrector: Sky-Watcher Aplanatic Coma Corrector

Hi Simon,
You are definitely getting good data with that scope but I guess we all have different colour preferences. It may be that our monitors show the colours differently.....but for me the yellow comes across very strong here. It may be just a personal thing....but I would prefer this with less green and the yellow toned down. I said it to someone before....colour in NB images is a very personal thing.....for me....getting the detail is what we astro-photographers should be after.....and you are getting that OK

I've replaced the image after getting some more data in OIII and SII and discarding some of the frames that Maxim-DL decided were good enough but I was not happy with them, the colour looks a lot better now too....less green

Hi Simon....the extra data on this is very obvious and I think very much worth it. I hope you feel the same about it......having spent many hours, I am sure, working on it.
As I said, colour on narrow band images becomes a very personal thing....... and for me....I like this one much better than the last. Well done and thanks for sharing.
