My first Mosaic - 15MP version of M45

Since M45 would not fit in my FOV of the F4 Quattro, I decided I'd have my first go at building a mosaic, only two panes, but it's still a mosaic

The Image consists of
14x300S LRGB for Pane 1 and 2, so in total 9.3 Hours worth of exposure time

25 Darks and 25 Flats

Imaging Camera: Atik Cameras 383L+ Cooled to -20C
Filterwheel: Starlight Xpress Ltd 7x36mm EFW
Filters: Baader Planetarium 36mm unmounted LRGB
Guide Scope: Celestron Telescopes C80ED
Guide Camera: Qhyccd QHY5L-II

Pre-Processing / Stacking: Maxim-DL

Thanks John, now that I know what tools to use for stitching the Mosaic's together this is the first of a few I hope, I would never have contemplated this with the F8 AT8RC, but since I have an F4 I can do much shorter exposure times in comparison.

I compared the detail with what I got last year when I attempted a mosaic with the AT8RC, and there's simply no comparison, the 5 Min exposures on the Quattro are the equivalent to 20 Minutes on the AT8RC

There are simply so many colours.
And buckets of nebulae!

Don't forget the Galaxy to the right of Electra

Good grief, Simon. I see it in your image.
It took me an age to find it.
I could only see it by zooming it in all the way.
According to my Guide 8, it has the designation UGC 2838.
Its magnitude is +17.2.
It must have been discovered by imaging the area.
I wonder who first saw it.
