QHY Camera Drivers and Win10 was created by michael_murphy
I have QHY5-II mono and colour cameras which I use for guiding and imaging.
I have a new laptop (a Fujitsu Celcius) running windows 10 pro x64.
I installed the QHY drivers but neither camera is recognised (I just see unknown device). The cameras work on my old Toshiba Win10 Pro x64 laptop so it is a bit puzzling.
I've tried the various tasks suggested on the QHY FAQ but nothing works.
The USB ports on the new laptop work as I have used various other USB devices without issue.
The QHY forum has been down for the last few days so I'm wondering if anyone else has encountered a similar problem.
Thanks,
Michael.

Hi Michael,
I am only now getting to sit and read a lot of older posts on the forum here. I remember seeing this post (on or about when you posted it) but was not in any position to try help out. (I too have a QHY 5 II Mono but was away from home computer for a very long time).
Did you get things sorted....? I have to presume so at this stage!
I know this is a VERY late response.....but if you do still have a problem...just call.

Hi Brendan,
I had no luck and ended up using my old laptop. From reading up on it it seems to be a hardware issue. My new laptop seems to be solely USB3 and some older USB2 devices have an issue with this even though USB3 is backwardly compatible.
QHY have a newer driver out but I haven't had a chance to test it on the new laptop,
Michael.

Yes - completely understand because of seeing many entries on various forums about problems with USB 3. I personally never had any luck with the one USB 3 connection on my home Desktop and am very happy that I only have USB 2 on my 'Astro' laptop.
Perhaps later USB 3 connections are better and more backward compatible....but I have never seen the need to try them when the equipment that I have works quite happily with USB 2.
Best...…..Brendan.
