Andromeda was created by richardsweeney
Hi.I needed something big and bright to image last night with a 50% moon so this seemed the obvious choice. Probably not the best night to try and chase the feint nebulosity surrounding Andromeda but i think i caught a little.

Very fine image, Richard.
The dark lanes around the Andromeda Galaxy are wonderfully in focus.
Thank you for posting this.
It must have been late when you saw M31, M32 and M110.
The skies would not clear for me before 11 pm.

Clear skies from Aubrey.

Thanks Aubrey. It was 22:00 last night when i started the sequence and 00:00 when i went to the leaba. Lovely clear sky here in East Cork from about 21:30. Did you get/see anything nice?

No -not really, Richard.
I had a look at Sheliak (Beta Lyrae) which is a lovely quadruple system.
Then I split 17 Lyrae very nicely at 112X, 140X and 167X.
But then this large white cloud ruined the show.
I am trying to finish with Lyra.
I have only one more system to observe.
Then I will seek out a few more carbon stars in Andromeda.
It is forecast to have clear skies for Thursday night (6th September)
(I've to do the NCT before that).

Aubrey.
