Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.

Got some warp factor effect in the first image.

Thanks for the images Michael. I particularly like the one of the Sculptor galaxy. It's one of the only galaxies that I thought was impressive for visual observers as well as imagers.
How are you finding Oz? Found any Aussie amateur astronomers?
Mike.

Thanks Mike,
There aren't any amateurs where I'm based (It's fairly rural). One of the local park rangers holds astronomy evenings in a nearby visitor center and I help out if I'm around.
I'm having fun with the local 8 legged wildlife. I had left my mount out under a tarp one evening and when I went to set up a giant (OK, about 2 cm) spider was sitting on the mount. I wasn't sure if it was one of the ones that scared you to death or poisoned you to death I decided that discretion was the better part of valour and waited until it cleared off.
