Not really a rare subject - but rather one that is just not imaged all that often. Info as usual on the web site:

It was great seeing you on Monday night at the IAS meeting, Brendan.
And your new image of SH2-112 has a super 3D effect with truly magnificent golden and blue colours amongst other features.
Plus I feel it is rather similar to an open boiled egg!
Yum yum!
Your additional information on your website is an excellent read too, Brendan.
I, for one, was not aware of the location of SH2-112.
Clear skies from Aubrey.

Thanks for the comments Aubrey.
Yes indeed, the Zoom meetings are great - most especially for someone like me that has little chance of making the actual meeting (if they were on at Ely House).
Last night - another good IAS meeting; the 1st for the AstroPhotography special interest group. I hope that particular group will go from strength to strength. It will be hard to please everyone at every (zoom) meeting but in time, I hope that will will all come to appreciate having the contact/comradery.
As for SH2-112....I had not come across it before until I went searching for something in that part of the sky to image. It is not so easy to image/pull out detail for some reason or other but I am happy how this has turned out.
Raining here now and cloudy nights on the forecast for some time yet. However, I have started my next image - I hope it won't be too long before I can finish it and out it up here. Â
Brendan.

Thank you, Brendan, for your response.
You were certainly on the ball when you discovered our lecturer wasn't changing his slides.
How sad it is we are enduring so many cloudy nights over Dublin recently!
Our skies seem to only clear up after midnight these nights.
I have a few more doubles to observe in Cassiopeia and yet another carbon star within its boundaries.
I do hope you will have a better time of imaging some time very soon, Brendan.
Best regards from Aubrey.

All good things come to those who wait..&...Patience is a virtue!    .....come to mind just now.
I am sure we both will find what we are after in due course.
Keep safe!
Brendan.

Hi Brendan,
Your image is sublime! It's as if we're looking at a portal into another world. And as for those two stars (TYC 3573-634-1, and TYC 3573 -794-1) isn't the contrast only gorgeous.
Great stuff, and clear skies to you,
Darren.
