Abell 21 - Medusa Nebula

I hope all have had a peaceful Christmas - and that you look to 2021 with joy (and not dread) in the hopes that it will be much much better than 2020 was for mankind.
At least we can still look to the 'heavens' - when the clouds clear that is!
This image is growing on me - at first I thought it mediocre but looking at it again this morning with fresh eyes (I just processed it yesterday) - I like it more today than yesterday. I hope you don't mind me saying that I am still enjoying the current Christmas.
I haven't even started on the delicious Christmas Cake which my wife Valerie made for us.

How is it I have never, in my years, ever heard of it at all?
And how Christmas-y it looks with all those excellent red hues?

It is such a real privilege to visit your website and learn more about our wonderful heavens.
If you have visited Armagh Observatory in times past, as I have, there is a plaque which proclaims Psalm 19 verse 1: The heavens declare the Glory of God. Your image of the Medusa Nebula in Gemini is proof of that!

What a fine image of Abel 21 you have produced. Reading through the description on your website I was amazed to discover how low the surface brightness of the object is.

The blending of the colours is what I like most about your image...very well done and best wishes for 2021.
