Palm PDA Canon DSLR controller (free!) was created by John OBrien
Heads up Canon fans...
If you have a PalmOS PDA, here is a way of controlling your camera in a similar way to the expensive Canon timer remote TC-80N3.
Freeware too which is nice. The catch? you have to build a cable from the PDA to the camera.

It should be possible to have the infra red port of the palm operate the canon also (guess who got a 350D yesterday ).
I'll try and play with that over the next few days.

Welcome to the Canon club Albert!
I forgot about the IR port - let us know how that works out. I have a 20D so cable is the only option for me. Actually I ordered the Canon timer remote last week before reading about the Palm thing, which I would defiantly have tried if I had seen it earlier.

Did you get the adapter to fit the scope also?
I'd imagine you'll get nice wide field of views with the Sc Newt.
