'W' Constellation Cassiopeia with a 300D was created by Keith g
Hi all, I've tried my hand again at the Constellation Cassiopeia again last night, I used a 50mm Canon ef lens at f3.2, ISO 200, 5 minute exposure, I'm still working on a few stacks, but have'nt got around to them yet, Sorry for the large post, if I posted any smaller, the resolution would make it look c**p I'm still learning, but at least it's better than my last post, little processing, just contrast really, and removal of the green colour because I was using a custom white balance of a 1 second exposure on a sheet of white paper Is this any good?, Have any of you got a good custom white balance setting?
Still, I think i've got it fairly accurate to the way the sky was last night, hope you like it,
Keith..

coruscations attending the whole length of the luminosity, giving to the phenomena the aspect of a wrathful messenger, and not that of a tranquil body pursuing a harmless course..comet of 1680

Thanks Guys, I'm glad you liked it!, Dave, the skyglow is from a few streetlights nearby, blocked by trees, but a passing cloud shows it up
Apart from the double cluster, there's also M103, and I can count at least 3 other NGC star clusters, NGC 7789 to the bottom right, and the loose star cluster above the double called Stock 2! (Ok, I just looked that up)
Can't wait to get going on the milkyway soon, hopefully this weekend
Keith..
