Already done Dave mcD. Mark T did the brief diagnosis and suggested it wasn't too serious, it can be removed in by Photoshop etc. but the problem is when you know it's there, it's irritating. And after all, its not what I paid €300 for. You can live with and probably never notice an odd hot pixel, but there is too many together in this instance, which means it shows up. Dave L. the mark is seen on each dark, so I don't know if it can be subtracted(?).Hmmm - that's an odd one about the mark... I'd throw that one out to the DSI group - I'm sure there could diagnose the problem.
Now - off you go and get the LPI set up as an autoguider
Cheers!

Dave McD, I'm afraid I have no time to autoguide with the LPI, I'm in a rush to get an image of 2M1207b circling the brown dwarf,2M1207A. I'll show these boffins how to image an exoplanet

This is good news as the point of a dark frame is to subtract thermal noise and hot pixels out of the orig image.

The images it produces are something like 640 x 589 pixels. But the darks it takes are smaller. Go figure.... I'm not sure what the software does but it must somehow scale the darks to the image you are taking. I think I saw a few comments on the DSI forum about this but instantly ignored it because I just let the software do the dark subtraction automatically. For now....
And I hope your three exoplanets aren't in my posse of seven
