Sagittarius starcloud and the Lagoon Nebula

This might start to sound like a plan ?!?
I'd love to see this dark sky.

Wow, That would be great!!, There's some light pollution in the northeast from Waterford City, and Tramore town, but mainly every other direction is ok.

All we need is some organisation - a date (moon out of the way), accomodation, and of course the damned weather!!

I'll see what I can do!

Just got PM from Keith re Astrophoto SP Great idea,
Jan Cap Is an emminent amateur astrophotographer in Cork and he has agreed to come down to give us a talk maybe we could link it up.
By coming slightly further west along the coast you loose Tramore & the city or try Mahon Falls "0"and I can arrange light pollution,there are plenty of options and lots of accomodation.
I can arrange a location to eat and with computer proj show photos etc.
The Society has a private DARK sitenot far from the coast near the village of Kill, with ample room and I'm sure the landowners wouldn't object.
Let me know what you all think. :idea:
