*whispers* You need to install Macromedia Flash Player (an ActiveX control)

hmmm. not sure about that- gifs should play without ActiveX or Flash. You using a browser other that IE or Firefox?
Dave, if you like I can stick the animation into Flash, probably not worth it for two frames though.
I'm finding it hard to grasp the scale of your pics! It's just plain weird to see Pluto so 'bright'.
I like the animation! You should do some more, maybe pick another target this time. Can't wait to see your KAS presentation regarding astrophotography- it's going to be interesting!
Keep up the excellent work,
Dave P

Cheers Dave P
I thought GIFS would play in IE - it does in mine...
Dave L - if you have a firewall installed, it may prevent animations from playing. My firewall has an option to enable or disable animations.
Dave P - I guess that astrophotography is so different from visual observing that Pluto being bright is indeed a bit odd! The setup I have at the moment can certainly get down to mag 16, probably a little dimmer. Pluto is mag 13.87 - so its actually quite easy to image. With Charon (Pluto's moon) being mag 16.8, its possible that I could even get that with the 8" but I'd probably need to autoguide at that level (and that means more $$$).
I'm currently looking at doing a project on the motion of asteroids - conceivably taking enough images for some longer animations. It would be really great if you could help out with the animation piece. The project will help me in my longer term goals of photometry/astrometry so it'll be helpful for me in honing some of the skills required.
Another, pretty much identical project, would be to animate the motions of the moons of Uranus - that would be cool.
And as for the KAS presentation, I'll certainly do my best to make it as interesting as possible!
Cheers
