Overview of Astrophotography - presentation was created by dmcdona
Folks - I have uplaoded the presentation I gave to KAS last night on Astrophotography. It was too large as a powerpoint file so I uploaded it as a PDF. Unfortunately, it looks like its only greyscale...
Anyway, I hope its of some use to other societies or individuals.
By the way, If you want to use it, I don't require any credit but it'd be nice

hi Dave,
many thanks for that. I had said to Bill earlier in the week that I was hoping to get to the KAS meeting but unfortunately I couldn't make it. Will try again for next month's.
all the best,
John

Dave,
Nice presentation, wish I could have made it but circumstances at present are preventing me from travelling. are those your own images?
Hope to get to "Astrophotography For The Advanced" next month
Very nicely put together.
Bill.

Dave, That's an excellent piece of work You've covered all angles very well, and have put a lot of time & effort in. This should definitely be used by anybody wanting to do astrophography!
BTW, That's a cool pic of M31 on the opening page! Is that a visible or uv shot, I remeber seeing something like this before, I can't discern as it is in black & white.
Full credit to you,
Keith.

Excellent stuff Dave. Definitely a must read for anyone considering astrophotography. I love the way its all laid out clearly and without baffling the reader with all the technicalities.
Smashing stuff.

Awww, thanks folks
We we're discussing the front image last night - it is in fact a Hubble image of M31 (Andromeda) - I think in UV. That's the only image in the presentation that's not mine.
The second to last page - advanced concepts, is one I'd like to expand - there's probably a presentation for each bullet on that list. I don't know if the KAS folks would put up with one a month though
Perhaps a series for IFAS?
Cheers
Dave
