New Canon 5D DSLR

Rumour has it that it seems that information about a new Canon 5D
has leaked out, even though it was supposed to be announced 22nd of August.

It seems to be a full frame $3500/?3500 camera,
with slower frame rate than 20D but more pixels
(12.8 MB). It does not take EF-S lenses. On the
other hand, the focus screen is changeable.

ISO 100-1600, with extension 50-3200. The pixel size is the same as 1D Mk II.

I've been watching the rumours fly on some of the photo forums over the last week. It's certainly not a given that this is real just yet as it all stems from a supposed lead somewhere in Spain.

It does sound plausible though and full frame would be great for my general photo work. I don't see much advantage for astro work.

3.5K is out of my league but a year or two down the line this should be under 2k.

Give it 3 years, and you'll be able to get it relatively cheap!
