Dave Grennans new scope was created by Jed Glover
Hi all,
Dave and I spent an interesting 5 hours last night working out the finer points of using a ST-4 with his new Celestron 9 1/4 scope.
We certainly found all of the bugs one after another and with luck the Losmandy piggy back bracket and rings (when they arrive) should remove all play and make setting up guide stars a snap.
During a quite moment I snapped dave and his setup for posterity!
Enjoy
Later,
Jed.

coruscations attending the whole length of the luminosity, giving to the phenomena the aspect of a wrathful messenger, and not that of a tranquil body pursuing a harmless course..comet of 1680

That setup is Dave's not mine.
We were using my Sbig St-4 autoguider to check if it works OK with the Celestron CGE.
The guiding is all done with the dedicated Sbig ST-4 autoguider, they are small, you don't need a PC and once you figure the parameters that are required for a given drive system, very reliable. We were getting .4 of a pixel error on a quite poor night in Dave's back garden.
