2% Moon and Mercury Conjunction was created by Keith g
Hi all, I got up really early this morning in the hope of catching something that's not seen too often, the 2% sunlit moon only 3 degrees away from the planet Mercury at dawn. I got lucky too! , The fog cleared in time to give a splendid view, mercury was certainly a crimson-orange colour, it was a lovely sight seeing the moon look so slim, a beautiful morning. It was cool though, I definitely detected the 1st signs of autumn.
Details: Canon 300D 85mm lens at f5, 4 second exposure at ISO 100.
Hope you think it's a fair go...

coruscations attending the whole length of the luminosity, giving to the phenomena the aspect of a wrathful messenger, and not that of a tranquil body pursuing a harmless course..comet of 1680

Another great shot Keith, is that an old style lens (red dot) or a new digital type (white dot) ? And how many stops are you down from max?
Thanks,
Jed.
