Well look at it now that Mr Jed Glover has taken images plus to my data.
Hard to beleive its from the same data set isnt it?. Images plus is soooo on its way to my house.
Just for comparison here is my now seemingly pitiful attempt at processing the same data.
I'm stunned at what Jed has done to this!

By the way guys, is ImagePlus just another tool to use instead of e.g. Photoshop?

Seanie,
Images plus is a dedicated astronomical image processing package. It contains a whole raft of tools such as multiple align and stack algorithms, dark frame, bias and flat calibration, and a whole host of algorithms such as maximum entropy and lucy richardson deconvolution. and thats just the start of it. The downside is, its not cheap.
See www.mlunsold.com
Its not a general graphics package like photosho[. You wouldn't be processing photos of your grannies birthday party with this!!
