Hi All,
I was going through my pics of this years WSP at Birr and as I went through them , these 2 struck me as showing just how massive a structure this telescope really is, the size of the crowd gives it a great perspective.

coruscations attending the whole length of the luminosity, giving to the phenomena the aspect of a wrathful messenger, and not that of a tranquil body pursuing a harmless course..comet of 1680

Crikey! It is some monster! I used to live in Birr for a few years, and we would go walking through the demense most Sundays. This was well before the notion of that thnig being repaired. It was blody massive back tHen, noW its even bigger with the extra attachments! :shock:
