Cheers Trevor - I'll check out that link myself. I really don't know that much about Mars other than those lovely pics you see from the orbiters and the rovers - and I'm not going to take anything like that!
I posted another image that is much sharper and clearer.
All the same, I was imaging through high cloud for most of the night so I guess it was about the best I was going to get. Luckily enough, even thoguh I started imaging when Mars was low down, later on when it climber higher and the moon was seeting, the high cloud got thicker.
