Tonights session was created by Matthew C
Hi all, I was advised by Ronan Newman of Galway Astronomy Club to take a two second exposure of the moon and venus an hour after sunset! It was amazing!

here is a pictyre of the moon,Venus and my hometown Salthill!

Now, i have caught the crescent shape of venus through our 4.5" soligor telescope and a sony digital camera!

Then all of a sudden it clouded up, yet venus was so bright you could still see it!

Beautiful images there :D

I was clouded out this evening for that conjunction.

Nice work Matthew, you have really caught the bug now!

The sight from Daingean/Tullamore was beautiful. Could not mistake Venus, even in the bright 16:10hrs dusk light. When it got darker after 17:30hrs, the pair were magnificent!

Not bad at all Matthew!

It is amazing what can be done with a video camera and a telescope.

Later,

Jed.
