The Perseus OB1 Star cluster was created by Keith g
All, I had a go also tonight at something we've all probably looked at in the constellation perseus - the perseus ob1 association 8) This is a loose star cluster a few degrees wide centered around the brightest stari n perseus, alpha persei, this area looks great on binoculars, with some lovely coloured bright stars, a telescope does'nt do it justice!

Same set up as the andromeda galaxy, but bad foggy air had the better of this one, just a single exposure of 5 mins, ISO 800, Canon 300D, canon 85mm lens at f3.5, piggybacked C8.

I'll wait for a darker night to have a right crack at this one..

coruscations attending the whole length of the luminosity, giving to the phenomena the aspect of a wrathful messenger, and not that of a tranquil body pursuing a harmless course..comet of 1680

Keith, I like the way the "cluster" stands out against the starry background, both in terms of magnitude and colour.
