Nope, Just a poor man's go at making star or diffraction spikes! Just get 2 thin pieces of wire, and tape to the front of the lens like a cross - you get spikes on the brighter stars :idea: :idea: :idea:
I thought of that myself !! one day
Glad you like it, I don't think the colour is great myself, with the light pollution and fog, I hope to shoot it agin next clear dark night when the moon is out of the way

thats just amazing, I was also thinking of the 2 wires over the front of the scope when i took my shots last week, so as to get the spikes... :lol:
I was even contemplating experimenting with 3 or even 4 wires to see what the effect would look like.
20 seconds in photoshop would eradicate the background glow... you should give it a go.
