Thanks again for the comments. Yes I've just noticed that. Its either a rogue image where the scope got a knock or its mis-aligned in the processing. I'll need to look through the individual images to see which. Either way, dropping that image or re-alingning it will sort that pear shaped look. Thats the nice thing about taking several shorter exposures, if that were a single image theres nothing that could be done to correct it.
Regards and Clear Skies,
Dave.

Beautiful image. I noticed a very slight shift in the star images (pear affect) when highly magnified. Is it due to tracking? Any details on exposure times, etc.. Like Dave L would be very interested in comparison images (with & without filter)

Superb! Gets me thinking about getting the hamer and chisel out and attacking the camera!

Wow! ... WOW! Please tell me this isn't a wind up! Emulsion really is dead, now! Beautiful shot.
See you Wednesday... I hope?

Hi Phil,
Yup, see you Wednesday, and no that is a very real image, RIP 35mm film
To be honest it was the easier of the two to processes, and I thought it would be difficult to get a decent contrast stretch on the horse head, but it came up nice and clear without any tricky pixel maths!
Later,
Jed.

That is a really nice image Dave & Jed! The red nebulosity really comes out a treat! No looking back on the modification now!
