Folks - whilst trawling through some images I'd taken in the summer, I came across M87 and M88. M88 is pretty good looking - I don't know how I missed it and failed to let you know at the time...
Anyhow, enjoy.

Hi Dave,
M88, nice detail in the dust lanes. Do you have any details on exposure and stacking?
Did you see that noise reduction oftware post that Dave G made today? Could be very handy for all CCD imagers!
Later,
Jed.

Wow nice images Dave. I noticed the little star towards the bottom of your M88 image. Had a look at DSS and its there too, but I'm sure thats the first thing you checked:)
Anyway I hope you dont mind me taking a liberty, I downloaded your image and applied neat image to it. I think the result is very good.
Whaddya think?
Nice work Dave.

Great detail in those images, especially in M88.

Folks - M88 was about 20 stacked images of 30 sec each. M87 was about 30 images of 10 sec each. Both were taken at the end of May last year.
Dave G - of course I checked That's a huge improvement by Neat image. I had a look at the web page - you have to pay... Are you using a demo version? Is it worth the download (ie doesn't expire in 1 day...)
Cheers

While Dave Mac's image is great in b&w detail, Neat Image does it more justice! Super shot!
