And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time. . . .

Nice going Matthew! Next up is a similar Earth-shine image through some sort of magnification!

A good image Matthew.
I wish we had clear skies here to get a view like that. We've had dense fog up until this morning, now its just clouid

Great shot Matthew. Looks like an absolutely lovely photo.
Now you know we all critique each others photos in here, so I hope you dont mind me offering a little.
The only think that looks a tad off is the focussing on the Moon. I dont know if you used autofocus or not. I find that the autofocus feature doesnt always work at that kind of distance. You could try tweaking the focus manually if your not absolutely happy with the autofocus.
Heres another tip for the 300D. By default when you lock the focus and then change the orientation of the camera the focus changes too. There is a firmware upgrade you can do which will allow you to lock the focus and then point the camera anywhere you like. As your camera is new and still under warranty I dont recommend you do this right now. But maybe a little later you could give this a go. It doesnt involve opening your camera, just downloading a file onto your flash card, turning on the camera and the upgrade process happens automatically. The other things the modified firmware does is allows mirror lock-up and a higher ISO setting too.
Nice work again on the photo.
