A trio of goodies was created by dmcdona
Folks, whilst the skies are cloudy, I'm quietly passing time rummaging through my old folders and updating the website.
For your delectation, I offer you three further fruits of my labours, though perhaps you're sick of satsumas right now...
NGC 6997 - an irregular galaxy in Cygnus. So irregular, it looks like an open cluster...
www.astroshack.net/gallery/galaxies/ngc6997.php
IC342 - a spiral galaxy in Camelopardalis (one of my first images of 2006) - its pretty low-surface brightness but you can see some detail.
www.astroshack.net/gallery/galaxies/ic342.php
And finally, looking like an apple for sure (or a satsuma...) is M57 - the infamous planetary nebula.
www.astroshack.net/gallery/nebulae/M57.php
Go gorge yourselves
Cheers
Dave
p.s. I'm so gorged myself that I haven't yet completed all image details. Please bear with me whilst I fast awhile...

Nice images Dave. You had me there!! I'm thinking, I cant see any galaxy there, so I took it and stretched it, still no galaxy, then i re-read your post!!
I'll get you for that you scoundrel!!
Amazing how big IC343 is, even at f6.3 it doesnt all fit in!
Nice images as usual!!

Great shots Dave! NGC 6997 is certainly a "loose" galaxy. IC342 and M57 are both stunning.

M57 comes up nice in the black and white Dave, well done! I'm still stumped about the Cygnus one myself though!
