Here's an image I missed altogether. I took this on the night of the confirmation image for SN2005ep. That's why it 'got lost'...

M74 Spiral Galaxy .

Enjoy!

Great capture Dave

Looks like a nice SN patrol image :D

coruscations attending the whole length of the luminosity, giving to the phenomena the aspect of a wrathful messenger, and not that of a tranquil body pursuing a harmless course..comet of 1680

Just admiring that one Dave, you can easily see the brighter star forming regions, not bad for 1 hours work :D

One of your best galaxy shots yet IMO. Love the structure visible. Looks like the stars are just starting to go off round, maybe that was before you tweaked your alignment.

Fantastic image

Thanks folks. Appreciate the comments.

Dave G - yeh, the brighter stars area bit eggy - I actually think that has more to do with seeing. Most of the images were perfect but a couple obviously got through the quality control procedures :D Butan element *could* be due to tracking- two minute exposures for an hour ain't bad though!

Cheers

Dave
