Hello All, What a super clear morning it was this morning, even with a very bright full moon , the stars were sparkling. So I set about getting a shot of Jupiter & Alpha Librae from my backyard. Jupiter was only 3/4 of a degree from alpha librae, magnitude 2.7 with a close companion at magnitude 5.2, a lovely sight in binoculars, just to Jupiter's lower right. You can see on closer inspection some of it's moon's, I also noticed that Jupiter was sliding between two other stars, one to it's upper right, and one to it's lower left. This was taken with a Canon 300D, 85mm f1.8 lens at f4.5, a stack of two 2min & 3min exposures at ISO 200.

The background blue colour shows the approach of oncoming twighlight on this lovely crisp morning. :D
Well worth getting up early for! Keith..

Like David, I too was up around 5:30am to spot this pairing too! The whitewash of the Moon over the entire sky was remarkeable, and the only thing missing in my mind was a thin blanket of snow! :)

Really nice image Keith!
