coruscations attending the whole length of the luminosity, giving to the phenomena the aspect of a wrathful messenger, and not that of a tranquil body pursuing a harmless course..comet of 1680

Lovely image lads, it seems to be a good combination of camera and scope.
is that a modified camera???

Thanks for the comments guys
I am not currently using flat frames, but that project (light box) will be on the menu during the summer.
Dave Grennan uses a modified 300d, but my 350d is standard issue.
The Williams Optics ZS80 is a semi apo design. I use a minus violet filter to reduce star size. After a few nights astrophoto use I have found the following;
1. For a £299 scope it is great value.
2. There is some coma at the edges of a 35mm frame, these however all but disappear when the images are downsampled for web use etc.
3. The crayford focuser is not strong enough to hold a 350d when pointing over about 40-50 degrees, however there is a focus lock that stops this from becoming a major issue.
4. The supplied dew shield is great! My CG-11 is always misting up but the ZS80 does not.
Over all I am very happy with the ZS80.
Later,
Jed.

That's a stunning image!
Genuinely don't think I've ever seen a better image of the Rosetta nebual, not even in shinny encyclopedias!

I think thats one thing we really need to consider. It would help me a lot particularly with regard to vignetting.
