still to cluttered.Or more like we have it on the bottom of posts (automatically) of the astrophotography forum, no point cluttering the rest of the site with it.
OR, how about we have it at the bottom of the front page, with a one liner stating something along the lines of "Your monitor needs to be calibrated to this to see images uploaded to this site".

How do you think this looks?
What about just having it as a file in the files section? Would that be useful? Sticky sounds a good idea too.

what i think would be nice is that all images posted here had it included, along with scope, exposure time ect.
On your page Dave it looks nice. Maybe add a link to a small popup window with info about what it is and how you should adjust your screen to it?

I think just to add a line under your images regarding the swatch, and where on this site it can be found. I don't have monitor problems myself when I see the great astrophotos presented, and my levels are at about the 50 to 60% level. Don't forget, different things like tft/lcd monitor tilt (viewing angled) will also be a facor.
Each to their own I guess, but I reckon a quideline stated under each of your pictures when posted is no harm. I think it will also be added to the new front page regarding the photo galleries.
Seanie.

Actually thinking about it since Seanie has replied, perhaps it would be a factor in the astrophoto competition. I know a lot of my images are really faint fuzzies - you really need a well calibrated monitor to see the image as you're meant to see it.
I think I'll add the swatch onto the bottom of my images to make sure everyone sees the pic as it should be.
As for others without a website, as Seanie says - just a pointer to the swatch on the IFAS site - wherever it may be.
Cheers
Dave
