You're barred again! was created by dmcdona
Folks - I managed to get an additional 90 minutes of exposure tonight (32 images at 180 seconds each).
With the previous data, the revised image comes in at a total integration time of 132 minutes (2 hours and 12 minutes).
I can certainly see an improvement - I hope you can too. And I stretched the levels according to the swatch you'll see just beneath it. So tweak your monitor brightness until you can see all the seperate boxes - that'll give you a good representation of what the image should look like.
Enjoy!

Yep, you can make out the 3rd spiral more easily now. Nice work!

If the weather is good tonight, I might run another few hours worth of data. But I'm not really so sure its going to give me any more resolution. I'll mull it over. Perhaps if I got a 16" scope....
Thanks for the comments lads.

Fantastic shot Dave, the spiral arms look much more pronounced and you can start to see what looks like some HAlpha regions. Just one tiny weeny thing I noticed. The stars on the left look a tiny tad elongated. Its so slight that you'd hardly notice. It may suggest the camera is not perfectly square on in the scope?
However it really doesnt make the slightest difference to a totally fab image. I love galaxy shots like this, Well done.
