The Astronomical Institute of the Academy of Science of the Czech Republic are developing a program for image processing of images of the venus transit. They have a web site open now which you can experiment with and I understand that they would like feedback on the site.

I have seen a presentation about this and the technology looks good, though a bit more focus on the user interface would be a good idea. Though this is very much beta software and will only remain up for a few days.
