Just a suggestion perhaps - once the images are all stacked, if might be an idea to crop the image to just show the the main target. This will increase the final size of the target on the screen and allow for easier processing as the remiander of the image won't distract.

Mike has a point about cropping - our attention is not solely on the cluster, but the entire field - which makes some of us notice things like those faint red stars lurking in the background!

Any plans to go for a larger number of images for better S/N?
Yep, hopefully the next clear night

I've actually cropped this already about 2/3rds it's original size as the field of view is about 2 degrees by 1.2 degrees, which is quite large, I 've left in the right hand side of the image, as I look at thia area a lot with my binos as the variable star R Scuti is there top right. I guess I could crop a bit more, but I like it all the same. I tried shooting with a 2x barlow last night to get in closer, but it would't focus
Seanie, there is alright, There's a lot of dust around there, also it was fairly warm last night, whick probably induced more noise than I would have likedthere apears to be a lot of faint red stars lurking in the background there!
