Further montage attempts was created by JohnMurphy
Sorry more moon images I'm afraid. Just to keep things up to date here's another montage of 5 images built up from 500+ frames each and stitched again in the same method. Some post processing defects caused by registax (cropping marks) are visible in the northern regions, and I haven't yet done any smoothing/sharpening of the edges, but it gives a flavour of whats possible with a small scope & relatively inexpensive equipment. This was Sunday nights moon as I saw it from Wexford Town. Unfortunately seeing was just too hazy to try Jupiter. Any criticism welcome. If I ever have to do a full moon montage it will take probably 10 AVIs - please don't ask, although tonights moon is sooo tempting.

That's pretty good John. Great work.
My only criticism would be that the image is a little too bright on the right. Other than that though, it's looks great.

Only saw this now,
You keep improving the image, good stuff,
One Q though, there seems to a lack of very fine detail/resolution, do you think you had the focus nailed? what size scope did you use for this?
