Woodwizard (aww, c'mon, what's your real name ) - that's a lovely image. I don;t think I've seen an image with that FOV - they are usually close-ups or really wide-field. That's a nice intermediate shot.
The detail and colours are really good too and you've kept the nebulosity well.
Funnily enough, I saw a post on another board from a guy with a 60mm refractor and a DSI II - I thought 'these are gonna be OK" - they blew my socks off. I must find the link and post it.
So, keep them coming!
Dave
ps - welcome!

Great image!
I couldn't help to try and play with the image slightly in PS. Hope you don't mind.
I set it to "Autolevels" which helped improve the contrast a touch as the dark areas seemd a little grey, and I tried to bring out a little bit more of the nebulae. I would be interested whether you thought this was any better.
However, don't get me wrong, if I were the person who took the original image, I'd be extremely pleased as it's a fab shot!

I have to agree Micheal that it looks better. I have a better image but i had some rotation problems when images were combined in Images Plus. Images were taken on two different night and the orientation wasn't close. I would have had to do alot of cropping to fix. I'm still on the learning curve on the processing end in Images Plus.
