ETX 70 and canon300 was created by Eirikg
Hi

Just got T-ring for canon and T-Mount SLR Camera Adaptor 1.25. Didnt order the T-adapter for the scope, because the shop in uk wasnt allowed to ship it ouside the country.

The problem is the focus, i have to use the barlow to reach focus when pointing to terrestial objects far away. Without the barlow i can only focus on stuff thats a few meters away.

Would this be different if i got the t-adapter for my scope?

must be my unlucky day today, the flipmirror on the scope lost it tention. It still works, dont think ill start fideling inside there.

Tested taking a picture without the barlow, on a object 3 meters away. Pretty good optics.

manage to focus at objects further away now buy using the back of the scope. Though it gets verry verry heavy on the back then :(

Here is a test image, object is about 500 meters away and i got lots of "focus" to work with. Taken true a window so not so great.

Normaly you need a extender as the scope is supposed to be used with a star diagonal. These tend to add about 2"-4" between the scope and the T adapter.

Eirik,

I seem to remember that only way I could get both an etx70 and a canon 300d was to get the etx to t-thread ring which screws onto the back of the scope and then the canon t-ring would screw onto it.

However thats was some time ago and my memory isn't what it used to be!

Dave.

This seems to be true, i got focus when i used the diagonal. But i also tried to hold the camera abow to extend the lenght from the 1,25" on the top. But i found out it should be shorter? Not longer. And that doesnt seem to add up to the extra lenght the diagonal gives.

Ill test some more
