a nice prominence was created by daveg
heres a nice prominence taken yesterday.

2006 08 07 at 18:36 near Birr
PST at f/20 (CEMAX 2x barlow)
Lumenera Skynyx 2-0 camera
1001 frames stacked out of 1037
Stacking in Registax processing in Photoshop
Note the detail in the main prominence. The high frame rate of the Lumenera camera (54 frames per second) allowed me to "freeze the seeing" on a day that wasn't great.

Here's the raw b/w image before color processing in PS

Great images Dave,
I was also looking at the Lumenera camera, its a nice piece of kit.
Is it as easy as the webcam to use.??

Very nice images Dave G! Looks like the double-stack filter is doing a good job. Must get myself one of those...
Had a good look at the Sun yesterway with my new William Optics binoviewers. Mono-vision so sooo 20th Century!
Seriously though, it's definetly the way to go.
