Anyone know how the physical size of the ccd sensor compares to the 300d/350d, this is the real make or break for this camera me thinks...

Sensor is the same as the 350D Dave:

Looks like a nice camera, from an astronomical point of view it is very similar to the 350D, the only real advantage I see is the rapid fire rate which would have been useful at the solar eclipse, beyond that I dont see a need change from the 350D, even at that I think I'll be sticking with the 300D,
Does the bigger LCD mean a shorter batter life?, in the likes of camcorders it ususally does.
BTW, the 300d, 350d, and 400d all use CMOS sensors.
