we used to go up all the time with astronomy ireland to the hill of tara, sallys gap they were great nights, great fun looking up at the milky way so many stars there is notting like it.and we broth up some very large telescopes seen peoples faces when you show them the heavens there is notting like it.

Some folks in South Dublin Astronomical Society go observing in Wicklow. They have a meeting on Thursday if you can make it across to Ranelagh.

31st August 2006, Next Meeting Details
Our first meeting of the 2006/2007 session will be on Thursday, September 7th at 8pm in Gonzaga College, Ranelagh. The title of the talk is "Mr. Messier and his Catalogue" by John Flannery. All are welcome to come along and there is no charge for admission. Also that evening we will have one or two short talks on other topics along with the regular sky notes slot.
