PPS. Reference: tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/ap-gto/message/15790

"I moved my AP900 into my new observatory this past week. PemPro
measured PE without correction at 4.6 arcseconds, way to go Roland!
PemPro then reduced PE down to .68 arcseconds, way to go Ray!

Also, using MaxPoint I got polar alignment down to 2 seconds in AZ and
17 seconds in Alt. This permitted a 10 minute unguided image with
absolutely perfect stars:

Then a quick autoguider run with the STV on automatic had me guiding
at .3 arcseconds per pixel. Sweet!

Nicely done gentlemen!

Thanks,

Bob

Anthony,

I use the PAM with the USNO 2.0 catalogue as a comparison reference. I also use the TheSky V.5. in conjunction with PAM. For plate solving I use PinPoint (DC3 Dreams).

I think Dave has used PAM with USNO 1.0 with TheSky 6 professional. I believe he is using PinPoint for plate solving.

I think PAM was alot more recent and the older TheSky 4 may not have been ASCOM compliant at the time. I do remember I had to upgrade to V.5 in order to use ACP. Of course it is possible that your V.4 may work with PAM.

Hope that helps.
