Southern Craters was created by JohnMurphy
At 03:10 on Saturday morning it was time for bed, but the moon was now up at an extreme angle. Although the result wasn't great - badly focused by the looks of it, I figured it warranted labelling and posting more for educational purposes.

Nice one John.
I was pretty much up to the same thing Friday morning at about 6:30AM.
(who says it has to be dark outside to have a good session!?)
Even at that time the southern craters were still nicely lit so I set up my scope and cought a few AVI's through the webcam.
(I hope you don't mind me posting these in your thread)
I had to guide by hand during each capture but thankfully
Registax is very forgiving for shakes rattles and rolls.
I only figured out there a while ago that you can increase the video capture
size in K3CCD tools to a reasonable size!
So, again, sorry about the small images.
This image of Clavius came out fairly ok...
The arc of craters decending in size from 28KM to the smallest at just 12KM
inside the crater looks very cool.

Tycho was fairly prominant to the north (south in this image) of Clavius.
The central double peak is just about visable.

Thats about the best I got from the session.
