Keith The layers feature in photoshop allows you to manipulate each piece and once your happy with the alignment merge them to a single image. I wont bore you with details right now but when you get to doing it give me a shout and I'll help you through it. The problem you are going to encounter is curvature and the fact that when you lay out a 3d curved object (like the night sky) onto a 2d photograph, you have problems trying to line everything up.

Can't wait to try that, all I have is Canon 'Photostitch' software, I'm hoping that it will work???
I also have ps7, but I don't know how to merge them. Lots to learn.
