hi all. The above is a file I ran through registax. I tripodmounted a pocket camera afocally and recorded a few seconds of vid.
Is there a document / website anywhere that explains the absolute basics of registax. Any help tips would be greatly appreciated.
First question is how do I get rid of worst frames.
Cheers
Trevor

Hey there Trevor,
Looks like a really nice image to me.
To remove the worst frames just make sure that you have Automatic Processing unchecked. Then do as normal and hit Align.
Once the alignment is finished there will be a slider at the bottom of the screen. It actually corresponds to the quality graph that is shown. Moving the slider to the left will remove the lower quality frames. I usually bring it back to about 60% or so depending on how good the overall frames are.
The hit Limit to drop the poor frames and now you can run the Optimize and Stack.
I used this tutorial before:
www.davesastro.co.uk/techniques/registax_tutorial/index.html
You can see the frame selection here (from same site)
Cheers,
Trevor

The recent release of Registax 4 includes a pdf helpfile which you may find useful. For those of us dropped in at the deepend, it explains some of the facts though still leaves a lot to be desired.
