Saturn this Morning - 4th Nov 06 was created by Frank Ryan
Well, here is my second attempt at capturing Saturn.
I only got one workable AVI this morning before it got too bright.
I'm happy that I was able to get a bit more resolution from my first attempts,
but there is always room for improvment.
anyway, as always, any constructive comments welcome!

That's just great, you got the Cassini division nicely and some banding on the planet, things can only get better for you.

Frank,

Saturn is a tough target and as a result never give up trying for an even better shot.

Two comments which I would make are: (1) to very slightly increase your exposure so that the planet will be a little brighter and (2) there is no reference to the frame rate you used and, if you can go with a faster fps, do so since it will allow you to freeze the seeing that much better and, in fact, during very brief spurts of steady seeing there will be more good frames for processing.

Saturn is certainly well-placed right now and I must sit down and do something as well.

Clear skies and I look forward to your next Saturn!

Hi Frank

Great img. Iwould share Anthonys comments. Make it a bit brighter. What I do is to start to get to saturation (bleached out) then come back a bit. Also at that resolution try up to a 5 min AVI. As Anthony says more details please. Great stuff again.
