I've always found it difficult to get any detail into lunar pics when the moon is full (or almost). Tonight I hope I was more successful. Messing about with the SPC900NC settings - shutter, gain, brightness, frame rates etc., I hope that the image below is at least a little more detailed than the usual washed out images I previously achieved at this phase of the moon.
Registax 4 may have helped - new multipoint alignment.

Yeah, thats down to fiddling, but look at the limb, it's a lot sharper and cleaner than any other previous registax produced image. Think of it, almost 900 frames stacked and there's no blurring on the limb, thats nice to know. No more need to 'touch up' and clean edges. Thank you Cor Berrevoets.

Excellent shot John.
loads of detail there!
Is that a resized image from Registax?
What size frames are you capturing initally?
I can never seem to get a decent size.

How many frames did you use on this, did you use any filter to reduce the light.
