M36/M38 and Neblosity in Auriga last Night was created by Keith g
Well, as the title says, I had a go at the winter constellation Auriga last night under hazy-ish conditions. There are some super starfields to see here, namely M36 & M38 along with some neblosity if IC405/410 showing up, and many colourful stars, but hopefully when the skies are a little clearer further on in winter, I get get an improved shot....Canon 300D, Canon EF 85mm lens at f4.5, motoised C8, 18 Light frames, 5 ISO1600 F4.5 45 sec, ISO800 F4.5 120secx2 90sec x6 60sec x 5 plus 9 dark frames. Poor transparency, stacked in DSS.
For what it's worth, Keith..

Thats a wonderful shot Keith. and quite coinincidental since I am just about to post a close up HA image of IC405! I just love the richness of your shots. The detail within this is incredible.
Like you i'm looking forward to a few better nights as winter progresses.

Nice image Keith, I was also out last night, I even saw the sun come up
It wasnt hazy here, but the seeing was terrible, I could hardly make out the cassini division in saturns rings
