IC405 'The Flaming Star' nebula in HA was created by DaveGrennan
Last Thursday I got a good run at 'The flaming Star Nebula' around AE Aurigae. Managed quite a good set of HA frames. I had hoped to acquire colour data to go with this but alas the weather hasn't played ball. Anyway heres the shot.

I do hope to get some colour data to go with this shot once the cloud gremlins get lost.

Great minds think alike It's a pity that this nebula is not brighter visually, but wow! that is one hell of a shot! you have got some set up there!!
Did you know that AE aurigae is one of three stars the were ejected from the orion nebula by a supernova a long time ago??
Keith..
